Furry Burgers Monday

Hope everyone had a jolly Valentine's Day.

Chris was in Vienna last week and weekend, but as many of you know, we don't celebrate Valentine's Day so I didn't feel distraught. Every year he knows I just want one pink gerber daisy.

Saturday morning I was woken by the flower guy.  I was so surprised and so happy that Chris had thought of me.

Honestly, I had kind of forgotten we do the gerber daisy thing. I wasn't expecting anything on Saturday. In fact, when I saw the flowers my first thought was that they were from my parents, but then I saw the card and knew my husband was behind it all.

Not even close! Good try Turkey florist.

Anyways, what a man. Warmed my heart right up.

But the warming only lasted so long. Woke up to this this morning:

I don't know why I'm so amazed every time it snows here. We knew it would snow. I guess when you've lived 15 plus years in a place that sees snow one day a year (on average), living in a region with a proper winter can be quite confusing.

The kids were absolutely thrilled by the idea of falling frozen precipitation.

I have loads of pictures that I took with the SLR. I finally made good on my promise to take lots of pictures the next big snow day.

That fell under the category of "What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?"...along with some other things.

More to come.
